Wishing you...

I created this card for the summer card camp 2011 student gallery. It is so much fun to be "playing" along.

The base of this card was cut out using the Grand Labels 1 by spellbinders. The pink patterned paper on the face of the card, also cut out using the Grand Labels 1, is from Echo Park. Next, I stamped the flowers from Hero Arts onto purple, orange & sky blue cardstock, using versamark ink. The flowers were embossed using white detail embossing powder, then cut out. The centers of the flowers are cut out from the Small Organza Roses Ribbon by Maya Road. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to trim the mat for the greeting. The ribbon around the greeting is from Amuse, and the greeting on this card is from Hero Arts.

Thinking of You

I created this card for the Justrite Challenge 049. The challenge was to use the "direct to rubber technique".
The stamp I used was from the Justrite Bird Houses set. I colored the stamp using Tombow markers. Then I "huffed" on the stamp before stamping it onto the paper. The paper used to create this card was Urban Prairie by Basic Grey. The spellbinder dies I used were, Classic Circles & Lacey Circles. The ribbon wrapped around the card was from Amuse and the little birdie cut out of the Basic Grey paper adds the finishing touch.

On Your Special Day

I created this card for the Justrite Friday Challenge #048. The challenge was to follow a sketch that was posted on the Justrite blog.
The paper is from the "Be Mine" collection by Echo Park Paper. The stamped greeting is from the Wedding Nested Sentiments by Justrite Stampers. The black ribbon behind the greeting is by Creative Impressions. To add the finishing touch, I mounted the tulle flower from Bazzill.

What you'll discover will be yourself!

My dear daughter is on her way to Milwaukee, WI to visit an art therapy grad school. So this card seemed to be the right one to post this evening.
I sprayed the background paper and the flower with Tattered Angels. The stamped images are from Tim Holtz.
Good luck Danielle! I hope you find what you're looking for and I hope they see what we see, a bright, beautiful & creatively talented young woman!

Have a Fabulous Birthday!

I created this card for the Justrite Friday Challenge 046, sponsored by Scor-Pal. We were asked to use scoring as a technique. I decided to visit the Scor-Pal website for some inspiration. If you have not checked out this website, you will want to. The Criss Cross Card pattern was used to make this card.

First, I scored & folded my card base according to the directions. The paper I used was Meadow Lark from My Mind's Eye. All of the stamps I used came from, "You Inspire Me" by Justrite Stampers. When I stamped the border for the card insert, I decided it was a little plain so I added some black gems to the center of each stamped image. The ribbon around the striped band added the finishing touch.

Thanks So Much

What a fun card to create! I just love working with flowers. This is a new flower set from Hero Arts.
I stamped the flowers with Rich Cocoa Memento and then colored them with Copic markers.Cutting the flowers out and layering them together really adds a lot of dimension. And of course, we NEED to add a little bling to the center of the flower. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create this lacey, scalloped border.
The greeting is from a set by StampingScrapping.

In 2011, I am going to try to spend more time working on my blog.(Just one of my New Years resolutions!)
